Get ready for the biggest and spookiest event hosted by the University of Florida Filipino Student Association (UFFSA) and the University of Florida Filipino Alumni Association (UFFAA). DTJ started from the bottom as a small talent show at Orange and Brew, then grew to now be known as one of the biggest events of the year hosted at the Curtis M. Phillips, M.D. Center for the Performing Arts.
THEME: "DEAD OF NIGHT"
This year DTJ falls on Halloween, and the theme is Dead of Night! DTJ will certainly be a thriller, where you can witness the magic of the supernatural and darkness of ghouls and ghosts. The theme will allow teams to challenge themselves, impress judges, and wow audiences with dances that will give you chills. Each team will have to dance without “music.” This challenge allows teams to use their creativity, and draw on inspiration from the afterlife and haunted to engage the audience and judges! Come out and watch FSA’s from UCF, FSU, USF, FIU & UM, and ATL compete and see how they will execute this challenge. In addition, check out exhibition performances by APOC, Anomaly, Final Boss, and of course UFFSA Wolfpack.

Why is DTJ important to you?
"DTJ was my first opportunity to dance and share the stage with my Pamilya. It's where I met my Ate, Kuya, Adings, roommates, and best friends. Each year that I've served on DTJ committee, I had the opportunity to work with other teams and guest judges. I've also witnessed the growth of this regional and annual show.
I am so thankful for Nicole, E-board, committee , alumni, dancers, and sponsors for all their hard work to put on DTJ XXIII. I hope you enjoy the show!"
Nicole Orlino

Why is DTJ important to you?
"DTJ was the first time in college that I really stepped out of my comfort zone to perform in front of people - I haven't regretted it ever since. Through DTJ I've been able to meet so many people and create bonds that have lasted to this day. This is where I first found my passion for FSA. I'm so thankful to have been able to play a part in an event that has made such an impact on my college career. I want to give a big shoutout to our Pamilya here at UFFSA, all the dancers, and those who sponsored us for helping make DTJ possible. Here's to a great show!"
